Guest reviewer Jackie Ferrell: Searching for Someday by Jennifer Probst

Searching for Someday is the first book in a new series by Jennifer Probst called the "Searching For" Series.

This book focuses on Kate Seymour who has given up on men. That is what she tells her best friends and business partners Kennedy and Arilyn. The three friends are co-owners of a matchmaking agency called Kinnections. They help people find their love match, but unfortunately she  still hasn’t had any success in her own love life.  Kate has a gift that allows her to feel when two people have a strong love connection and should be together. The feeling has even showed her that while on a date with a man. That man has a connection with another person they have come in contact with. Even though that connection isn’t with Kate, she is nice enough to say that they should be with the other person, which leaves her by herself.

Slade Montgomery is a very successful divorce attorney. Slade’s sister Jane has signed up as a client of Kinnections and since Slade is so skeptical about love, he decides to expose the agency as a fraud and get his sisters money back. Slade was cheated on by his ex-wife and he highly doubts there are true love connections between people. He says it is the oxytocin that makes people feel the way they do.

Kate decides the best thing is to help him find a love match to prove that they are a legitimate business. During their initial consultation she is attracted to him. She decides not to pursue the attraction since she is the opposite of the traits he says he desires and she doesn’t date clients.

After a yoga class that Slade participates in as part of the agencies pre-date courses he kisses her. That is when Kate and Slade feel the shock of electricity she feels when she knows that people are a match. Slade wants to go out with Kate but she tells him that she doesn’t date clients and sets him up with other women. Slade goes on the dates Kate arranges but he still finds himself attracted to Kate. Even with Kate trying to ignore their attraction, Slade is still interested in her.

I loved this story and would definitely recommend reading it. I am also looking forward to reading the next story in the series which focuses on Kate’s friend Kennedy.

A big thank you goes out to Jackie Ferrell for this review.  I hope to have you back again soon!
